    Streets of Colombo

The street of Colombo! The most executive, hectic places in sri lanka filled with the ancient architectures!

Pettah market or Manning Market is an open market in Pettah, Colombo. The Market is most famous for wholesale distribution out of Colombo.

These chaotic streets are always crowded, noisy and packed with tuk tuks, wooden carts and street vendors. In these miniscule shops you will find everything you will ever need for ridiculous prices. And if you’re planning on going shopping here, do some research, as different streets specialise in different items.
Best way to witness the market is by foot, since even if you manage to take your car in through the madness, parking will be impossible.

Picking up the magnificent scent of culinary spices in Sri Lanka flea markets is what first blew my mind. It was a unique discovery that came quite unexpectedly because I did not plan to go to the market that day

Offering anything from jewelry & electronics to fresh produce, the Pettah market in Colombo sure is worth a visit. The market’s location is in a quite busy district of Colombo and every street of this local market is dedicated to a different trade. Make sure to be able to spend at least half a day if you consider giving Pettah market a good try.
